NEW CELTIC TV UPDATE: More Content, Better Access, A Brighter Future For Supporters

Not every change at Celtic should be met with scepticism.

The launch of Celtic Player feels like one of those moments where the club deserves credit.

Replacing Celtic TV with a modern platform isn’t simply a name change. It’s an acknowledgement that supporters now expect more from their club’s digital experience. Fans want easier access, better content, higher production standards and the ability to watch across multiple devices without unnecessary complications.

The introduction of a single digital account linking streaming, ticketing and the club store is another welcome step. It simplifies the experience for supporters and brings Celtic closer to the standards expected of leading clubs across Europe.

The expanded content is equally encouraging. Live pre-season matches, behind-the-scenes footage, full-match archives, documentaries and exclusive interviews give supporters far more reasons to stay connected throughout the year—not just on matchdays.

For years, supporters have called for Celtic to modernise off the pitch as well as on it. While there is still plenty of work to do in other areas of the club, this is an example of Celtic embracing technology rather than standing still.

A stronger digital presence also strengthens the club commercially. Better engagement with supporters around the world can help generate additional revenue, attract new fans and reinforce Celtic’s global identity.

Supporters will ultimately judge the platform on its reliability, quality and value for money. But on first impressions, Celtic Player looks like a genuine improvement rather than change for the sake of change.

If this is the direction the club intends to take—modern, connected and supporter-focused—it deserves recognition.

Is Celtic Player the first sign that the club is finally moving forward in the way supporters have been asking for?

  1. Hi There,

I came across your website and noticed you’re running a WordPress site — great setup.

I just wanted to reach out because we’ve been helping WordPress site owners like you reclaim hours every week by automating the repetitive stuff that quietly eats into your day:

WordPress automation — auto-publishing, content scheduling, plugin updates, backups, and form-to-CRM workflows
Chat automation — 24/7 AI chatbots that answer visitor questions, qualify leads, and book appointments while you sleep
Social media chat automation — auto-replies and DM flows across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp so no lead goes cold
Lead follow-up sequences — instant responses the moment someone fills out a form or contacts you

Most of our clients save 10–15 hours a week within the first month.

We’d love to take a quick look at your current setup and tell you exactly where automation could make the biggest difference — no fluff, no hard sell.
