There is a gulf at Celtic.
It isn’t between Celtic and Rangers.
It isn’t even between Celtic and Europe’s elite.
The real gulf is between what we see this football club becoming and what Dermot Desmond, Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay appear willing to pursue.
That is the biggest frustration of all.
We look at Celtic and we don’t see limitations.
We see possibilities.
We see a football club with every ingredient needed to become something truly exceptional.
We see a 60,000-capacity stadium that should be one of Europe’s great football destinations. A stadium alive every day of the year with a world-class museum, expanded hospitality, fan zones, events, conferences and commercial opportunities generating millions while strengthening the club we love.
Why don’t they see that?
We see our financial strength not as something to protect, but as something to use.
We see significant European income, record commercial revenues and a support unlike any other in Scotland. We see those advantages as the platform to build the strongest recruitment department, the best football infrastructure and the most ambitious football operation in the country.
Why don’t they?
We see players arriving before Champions League qualifiers, giving the manager every opportunity to succeed.
Instead, every summer becomes another exercise in delay, caution and explanation.
We see ambition.
Too often, we feel we are being sold caution.
We see Celtic setting standards.
Too often, it feels like the club is reacting instead of leading.
Last season should have been the warning.
Winning the league should never disguise how close Celtic came to paying the ultimate price. For a club with such overwhelming advantages, that should have been the moment to become bolder, more ambitious and more decisive.
Instead, many supporters fear we are watching the same story unfold again.
That is why frustration continues to grow.
Because we don’t just support Celtic for what it is today.
We support Celtic for what it can become.
We can see a football club that dominates Scotland while constantly improving itself. One that thinks years ahead instead of transfer window to transfer window. One that refuses to stand still because it understands that standing still is simply another way of falling behind.
The question supporters keep asking is a simple one.
Why can’t Dermot Desmond, Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay see what we see?
Because until they do, the greatest obstacle facing Celtic may not be money, competition or the transfer market.
It may be a lack of imagination at the very top.
And that is a gulf no amount of money can bridge.
Why, in the name of feck, is everyone surprised at this ?…It’s being going on for years and will continue to do so…until these people are replaced…The bottom line is…the Club is run for financial gain, with associated football matters coming a distant second…Until DD and his sycophants leave…we’re gubbed.

The reason we the fans are concerned is we have a ceo who is totally out of his depth if he cant deal with agents he should not be in the job it is that simple
This is starting to look like the behaviour of a club in financial distress, or could it be that now the odious Desmond and his malignant cabal of corporate greed and austerity fc just don’t give a shit about the club , it’s the money they want our money ,everything else is propaganda. Stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
