Celtic supporters are once again left asking the same question: what exactly is the plan?
As another transfer window gathers pace across Europe, Celtic remain frustratingly quiet. While rival clubs move decisively to strengthen their squads, those running our club continue to operate behind a wall of silence.
This isn’t about demanding a signing every day. It’s about communication, leadership and ambition. Celtic supporters invest millions into this football club every single season through season tickets, merchandise, subscriptions and matchday spending. They deserve to know that those entrusted with running Celtic share the same urgency and determination that exists in the stands.
Instead, the vacuum of information creates uncertainty. Rumours dominate headlines, supporters grow increasingly frustrated and confidence in the board continues to erode.
This has become a recurring theme under Dermot Desmond’s stewardship. Financially, Celtic remain in one of the strongest positions in Scottish football history. Yet too often that strength fails to translate into decisive action when opportunities present themselves.
The objective should never simply be to win domestic trophies. Celtic should be building a squad capable of consistently competing in Europe while maintaining domestic dominance. That requires forward planning, early recruitment and a football strategy supporters can actually believe in.
Instead, every transfer window seems to become an exercise in delay. Targets drift away. Negotiations drag on. Fans are told to be patient. Eventually a few signings arrive, but the feeling remains that Celtic have once again reacted rather than led.
Supporters are not demanding the impossible. They are demanding competence, ambition and transparency.
The silence isn’t protecting anyone anymore. It is simply creating more questions than answers.

It’s time the shareholders and STH took action this silence has to stop
