Transfer News: Camilo Duran, Alfie Devine, Gvidas Gineitis and Tobias Lauritsen on Celtic’s Radar

The transfer rumour mill is in full swing, and from a Celtic supporter’s point of view, there’s finally plenty to talk about. While fans are still waiting for new faces to officially walk through the doors at Celtic Park, the number of players being linked with the club continues to grow.

Camilo Duran appears to be one of the most advanced deals. Reports suggest the Qarabag striker’s agent has travelled to Glasgow for talks, with Celtic looking to agree a fee in the region of £2.5-3 million. It feels like the type of move supporters have been crying out for—a young player with potential and a price tag that makes sense.

Alfie Devine is another exciting name gathering momentum. The Tottenham midfielder is highly regarded and, at just 21, fits the profile of a player who could develop into a real asset. A reported £6 million fee would represent a significant investment, but it’s the sort of ambition many fans want to see.

Then there’s Gvidas Gineitis. The Torino midfielder may not be a household name, but Celtic’s recruitment has often been at its best when identifying talented young players before they become stars. If the club believes he can strengthen the engine room, supporters will be hoping they move quickly.

Tobias Lauritsen also remains on the radar following his departure from Sparta Rotterdam. Standing at 6ft 5in, he would offer something completely different in attack. With the arrival of the club’s new set-piece coach, adding a dominant aerial presence could become a real weapon both domestically and in Europe.

At the same time, there are concerns over the players Celtic could lose. Reo Hatate continues to be linked with a move away, while Daizen Maeda is attracting interest from the English Premier League after another outstanding season. Anthony Ralston, meanwhile, looks set to be rewarded with a new contract.

For supporters, though, actions speak louder than transfer rumours.

There are encouraging signs that Celtic are working on several deals at once, but fans have experienced too many transfer windows where plenty of names are linked before the momentum disappears. This time feels different, but only completed signings will convince a support desperate to see the squad strengthened before the Champions League qualifiers arrive.

The players are there. The opportunities are there. Now it’s over to the Celtic hierarchy to get the deals over the line and give supporters the summer they’ve been waiting for.
